The Eastern Bettong

Eastern Bettongs are small mammals who can be found primarily on the Eastern side of the state island of Tasmania, Australia. They have recently become eradicated by foxes and other predatory wildlife on the mainland of Australia, and are currently endangered in Tasmania. The Bettong is incredibly shy and almost never spotted with the human eye. I was lucky enough to befriend Fred with the help of some underground fungi.
